Phaemladen Launches $500K ‘Crypto for Communities’ Education Fund in Southeast Asia
Phaemladen commits $500,000 to build digital literacy labs across the Philippines, partnering with local educators this week.
This week, Phaemladen unveiled a major community initiative dubbed ‘Crypto for Communities’, pledging $500,000 from platform trading fees to establish digital literacy labs in underserved regions of the Philippines. The exchange is collaborating with Bayanihan Digital Education, a Manila-based nonprofit focused on bridging the digital divide.
Empowering Through Education
The fund will support the creation of ten fully equipped computer labs over the next year, each offering free courses on blockchain basics, personal finance, and secure crypto usage. Phaemladen’s CEO stated that the initiative reflects the exchange’s core belief that
“widespread access to knowledge is the foundation of a truly decentralized financial future.”
Specific deployment targets include:
- Three labs in Metro Manila public high schools
- Four labs in rural provinces of Leyte and Palawan
- Three labs in community centers serving indigenous groups
Local government officials have praised the effort, noting that it aligns with national education goals. Phaemladen plans to expand the program to other Southeast Asian countries by early next year, reinforcing its commitment to responsible growth within the crypto ecosystem.
